Watch This Teacher’s Elaborate Adele Parody About Snow Days

"Third-grade teacher Mary Morris really loves snow days. So much that she created this very elaborate, six-minute parody of Adele’s “Hello,” all about snow days. Seriously, the production values here are much higher than your average Adele parody. She clearly really loves snow days."

Bosses vs Leaders

"We are a Leader In Me School and talk a lot about using the 7 Habits of Happy Kids in our everyday lives. I love the idea of encouraging kids to act as leaders in the classroom and beyond. What I have noticed, however, is that sometimes "leadership" comes off as "bossypants" and that is not the route we want to take!"

Shake It Off!

This cute video was borrowed from "Kickin' It In Kindergarten".
Write two different numbers on the board while playing “Shake it Off”.
Students have to use their hands to “shake off” the smaller number.
"I started off using numbers 0-10 but they have gotten really good at it so I’ve started to use larger numbers. I modeled the thinking process of looking at two numbers and then making the decision of which one was smaller. In order to get kids to think and use strategies, you have to model it for them.
I hope that the video gives you a better visual!"
